지질학(Geology)은 지구의 구조, 구성 및 변화에 대해 연구하는 학문입니다. 지질학자들은 지구의 지질 구조와 지질 과정, 지진 및 화산 활동 등을 연구하며, 이들 지식을 사용하여 자연 재해의 원인 및 예방 방법 등을 연구합니다. 또한 지질학자들은 지질 시대 및 지질 역사 등을 연구하여 지구의 진화와 역사를 이해하려고 합니다.

따라서, 지리학과 지질학은 모두 지구와 관련된 학문 분야이지만, 지리학은 지구의 인간 및 자연 환경 간의 관계를 중심으로 다루고, 지질학은 지구의 구조, 구성 및 변화를 중심으로 다룹니다.

Geography and Geology are both academic fields related to the Earth, but they have different focuses and interests.

On the other hand, Geology is the study of the structure, composition, and changes of the Earth. Geologists study the geological structures and processes of the Earth, such as earthquakes and volcanic activity, and use this knowledge to research the causes and prevention of natural disasters. Geologists also study geological eras and history to understand the evolution and history of the Earth.

Therefore, while both Geography and Geology are academic fields related to the Earth, Geography focuses on the relationships between human and natural environments, while Geology focuses on the structure, composition, and changes of the Earth.
